    Redboats provides vessels for a number of applications and runs frequently scheduled trips to the general public, as well as being available on demand for charter work and even film making, parties, corporate group activities and school excursions.

    Diving in Melbourne, Victoria

    Melbourne has over 50 shipwrecks to Scuba dive and Freedive on, including a number of scuttled WW1 submarines. Melbourne also has some of the best wall diving in the world in Port Phillip heads, the entrance to Port Phillip Bay. Redboats offers Scuba Diving trips, Freediving Trips, Snorkelling Trips and other Charter Work. We are based in Portsea, 90 minutes south of Melbourne, which is at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay.

    Red Rover and Red Devil are fast, large vessels that operate mainly out of Portsea and Queenscliff, but relocate to other areas for charter work. Our vessel, Red Scout, is trailerable and is very versatile.

    Red Rover and Red Devil

    With a cruising speed of 40kts, Red Rover and Red Devil are our two similar vessels configured especially for us with a focus on comfortable and safe transport for sightseeing passengers, divers and snorkelers alike.
    Both Red Vessels measure 11.8 meters in length and fit up to 29 guests each on board. For your convenience both vessels are fitted with toilets, hot showers and Bluetooth stereos if music is required.

    2 x 350 horsepower low emission Yamaha engines power each vessel ensuring efficient transfers destinations. Combined with our specially designed hull and enclosed windows, ensures that even in turbulent weather, passenger comfort is never compromised and guests remain warm and dry.

    Safety is our priority and we ave spared no expense fitting out both Red Rover and Red Devil with state of the art safety equipment including: GPS Tracking and Navigation, wifi capabilities, VHF Radio and all survey equipment.

    Red Scout

    Red Scout is our smaller vessel perfect for a number of applications including begin used as a platform for on-water and underwater filming.

    Red Scout has been utilised by BBC Earth for the filming of the Blue Planet 2 series, as well as HBO for miniseries work and many production companies in Melbourne.

    The vessel is trailerable and can be relocated to different destinations.

    Red Scout is perfect for custom exploratory and free diving and smaller SCUBA Diving trips comfortably seating 5 passengers or 4 divers as a 2C or 2D vessel.

    Red Scout is powered by twin Low Emission 100 horsepower Yamaha outboards and also features Fusion Blue tooth Stereo and a complete side-scan and Downvu sonar.
    NB: Red Scout can also transit Port Phillip heads
